First Supermoon of 2026 to Light Up Skies Tonight
The first supermoon of the new year will take place tonight, with the full moon appearing larger and brighter than usual in the sky.
The supermoon will begin in Pakistan at 5:51 pm. According to Suparco, the supermoon will appear about 6 to 7 percent larger than the moon.
It is traditionally called the Wolf Moon. According to astronomers, its most beautiful view will be seen in the early part of the night at moonrise.
This will be the last supermoon in the supermoon series that began in October 2025.
According to scientists, a supermoon occurs when the moon comes closer to the Earth than its normal distance. Due to this proximity, the moon appears larger and brighter than usual.
