Field Marshal Asim Munir reiterated the army’s zero-tolerance policy towards threats to national security
Pakistan’s Chief of Defence Staff, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, conducted a detailed visit to the Lahore Garrison on Thursday. He was briefed on operational preparedness and reviewed ongoing training exercises, according to an ISPR press release.
The Corps Commander of Lahore welcomed Field Marshal Munir on arrival. During the visit, senior officers provided updates on measures to enhance operational readiness, combat capabilities, and troop training at the garrison.
The Field Marshal observed a special field training exercise, witnessing the troops’ tactical skill and high level of training firsthand. He also visited the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) Lahore, commending the staff for maintaining fully modern medical facilities and high standards of healthcare for military personnel.
In addition, Field Marshal Munir inspected sports and recreational facilities, emphasizing the importance of troop welfare and morale. Addressing the officers and soldiers, he reiterated the armed forces’ commitment to safeguarding national sovereignty, territorial integrity, and internal stability. He highlighted a policy of “zero tolerance” against threats to Pakistan’s security.
“The armed forces are promoting a culture of high standards, discipline, and selfless national service,” he said. “With focus, professional skill, and strong resolve, the army will meet all multifaceted challenges.”
The visit concluded with the Field Marshal appreciating the professionalism and morale of the troops stationed at one of Pakistan’s key military garrisons.
