ISLAMABAD—Renowned investor Arif Habib has expressed his readiness to support the federal government in its upcoming national development projects.
According to sources, the Sukkur-Hyderabad National Highway (M-6) project is slated for completion under a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model.
The Federal Secretary for Communications recently held a high-level meeting with Arif Habib to discuss the funding and execution of two critical sections of the motorway. Sources indicate that the government is considering entering into a joint venture with the Arif Habib Group on the direct instructions of the Prime Minister.
The Ministry of Communications has confirmed that completing the Sukkur-Hyderabad Motorway remains a top priority for the federal government. By utilizing the PPP mode for these sections, the government aims to leverage private sector efficiency and capital to ensure the timely delivery of this vital transport link.
