Sialkot officially announces team name for PSL 11

The full name of the PSL’s most expensive Sialkot team has been announced. The chairman of the ‘OZ’ Group, along with co-owner Kamil Khan and other stakeholders, revealed that the team will be called the Sialkot Stallionz.

Before the final decision, other names considered included Sialkot Thunders, Sialkot Sixers, Sialkot Falcons, and Sialkot Shaheens.

The newly formed Sialkot Stallionz have also revealed their official logo ahead of the 2026 Pakistan Super League (PSL 11). The logo shows the team name “Sialkot Stallionz” in bold, metallic-style letters on a dark background, with “EST. 2026” underneath to highlight that this is a new franchise, not directly connected to the original Sialkot Stallions.

However, the logo has received heavy criticism online. Many fans on social media called the design underwhelming and generic. A common complaint was the spelling of the team name, with the “Z” at the end. Fans suggested the team should have simply used “Stallions” instead.

The franchise is preparing for its debut season in PSL 2026, and despite the online criticism, it aims to build its own identity and fanbase.
