Mohammad Rizwan Sends Reply to NCCIA Through Post, Questions Summons

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan cricketer Mohammad Rizwan has submitted his response to the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) through post, raising several questions over the reasons for which he was summoned, according to sources.

Sources said Rizwan questioned the purpose of the agency’s summons and sought clarification regarding the proceedings against him.

According to sources, Rizwan asked the NCCIA why he had been called and sought details about the matter under investigation.

He also questioned why his mobile phone had not yet been returned.

Rizwan further asked the agency to clarify which specific disciplinary violation he was alleged to have committed.

“Why did you call me?” and “Why has my mobile phone still not been returned?” were among the questions raised by the cricketer, according to sources.

Seeks Clarification From NCCIA

Rizwan also asked the officials to explain the grounds on which he was being called for questioning and what specific issue the agency wanted to address.

The cricketer’s written response comes as the NCCIA continues its proceedings in the matter.

Sources said Rizwan has sought clear information about the allegations and the reason for the inquiry before proceeding further.
