Farah Khan Offers Mira Rajput Movie Role: Will She Enter Bollywood?

24 January, 2026 18:12

Mira Rajput, entrepreneur and co-founder of the skincare brand Akind, is widely recognized as the wife of Bollywood actor Shahid Kapoor. The couple is often regarded as one of the most charming duos in the industry. Recently, filmmaker and YouTuber Farah Khan offered Mira a role in her upcoming film, sparking speculation about her potential Bollywood debut.

Farah, known for launching Deepika Padukone with Om Shanti Om and for her entertaining YouTube vlogs featuring her cook, Dilip, hosted a recent segment joined by Ranbir Kapoor’s sister, Riddhima Kapoor, and Mira Rajput. During the tour of her Gurugram residence, Farah was impressed by Mira’s poise and fitness, telling her, “Mira, you can become a heroine. Do a role in my film.” Mira politely declined, responding, “Nahi banna.”

Mira has long prioritized her family over a professional career. She is a mother to two children, daughter Misha (born 2016) and son Zain (born 2018). In 2017, at a Women’s Day event, she expressed her dedication to motherhood, stating, “I love being at home, I love being a mother to my child, I wouldn’t have it any other way. I wouldn’t want to spend one hour a day with my child and rush off to work. Why did I have her? She is not a puppy, you know. I want to be there for her as a mother, seeing her grow up has, cannot be quantified.”

Shahid Kapoor has publicly admired Mira for her choices. In a 2025 interview with SCREEN, he said, “I think Mira has her own personality, and I have mine. Definitely, she has begun to do a lot of things lately. She had made a very strong decision of first having her kids and then chase her career. And I think that has worked in her favour. She is building on things, and she did do what she thought she wanted to do as a mother, and she dedicated her time. Now, she can slowly feel free and do things she wants to do. I feel prouder and rooting for her.”

Shahid and Mira, who share a 13-year age gap, tied the knot in an arranged marriage on July 7, 2015. Within the first year, they welcomed Misha, followed by Zain in 2018, completing their family.
