Talking to the media in London outside Pakistan’s High Commission, the prime minister said the Board of Peace has been joined with the hope that it will bring peace in Gaza and ensure that “the people of Palestine will get their rights with honour and dignity.”

He described his visit to Davos as “very good”, adding, “President Trump expressed his good wishes for Pakistan.” Sharif also mentioned that the IMF’s Managing Director Kristalina Georgieva lauded Pakistan’s reforms during a meeting.

On Thursday, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif signed the Board of Peace charter alongside other founding members in Davos. The initiative, hosted by US President Donald Trump, aims to resolve international conflicts and reportedly requires a $1 billion fee for permanent membership.
