Mohsin Naqvi to Visit Tehran Today for Pakistan-Iran Talks

Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei has confirmed that Pakistan’s Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi is scheduled to visit Tehran today for talks on bilateral and regional matters.

According to Baghaei, Naqvi’s visit will include discussions on Pakistan-Iran relations and follow-up on understandings previously reached at the leadership level.

Baghaei said he had no information that the Pakistani minister would deliver any message or proposal from Washington during his visit.

He noted that Pakistan’s role in regional diplomacy could provide an opportunity to discuss wider regional issues, although there was no information about any specific US initiative being carried by Naqvi.

The Pakistani minister is expected to meet Iranian officials during his stay in Tehran.
