Two Terrorists Killed in Gunfight With Police in Bannu
Two terrorists were killed in a violent gunfight that broke out in Bannu on Monday when a police patrol was attacked. In another area of the district, a crucial communication bridge was damaged by a different explosion.
During a regular patrol on Company Road, an unidentified attacker opened fire indiscriminately on a police mobile van within the boundaries of the Domail police station. Police acted quickly to stop more deaths.
For around twenty minutes, there was a fierce gunfight between police and terrorists, according to officials. Two Khawarij were killed as a result of the successful police operation, and their weapons were found.
APC, QRF, and RRF contingents from Police Lines Bannu promptly arrived at the scene to assist with the ongoing operation after the attack. The surrounding surroundings were made more secure.
To make sure there were no more attacks, police roped off the area and started a search and clearance operation. Authorities said they were working to secure the area and get things back to normal.
In a different incident, terrorists used explosives to blow up a communication bridge inside the boundaries of the Merian police station. According to police, explosives were set close to Khesoor Bridge, causing a powerful explosion that destroyed the building.
Both occurrences have been investigated by police, who are also evaluating any connections between the bridge explosion and the attack on the patrol. Following the incidents, security has been increased throughout the district.
