Gold Prices See Biggest One-Day Jump in History, All Records Broken

Gold prices hit record high in Pakistan – Jan 21, 2026: Check new rates
28 January 2026 — Gold prices surged sharply on Wednesday, marking the largest single-day increase ever recorded. The sudden jump shattered all previous records and pushed gold to historic highs in the local market.
Per Tola Gold Crosses New Milestone
For the first time in history, the price of one tola of gold rose by Rs. 21,100 in a single day. This took the per tola rate to an all-time high of Rs. 551,662.
Traders described the move as unprecedented, noting that such a sharp rise has never been seen before in one session.
10 Grams of Gold Also Hit Record High
Gold prices surged across all weights. The price of 10 grams of gold increased by Rs. 18,090, reaching Rs. 472,961.
Market analysts said the scale of the increase clearly shows strong buying pressure and growing uncertainty in financial markets.
Biggest Single-Day Increase Ever
This is officially the highest one-day increase in gold prices on record. The previous record was set on October 17, 2025, when gold rose by Rs. 14,100 per tola in a single day.
Tuesday’s jump comfortably surpassed that level.
Why This Matters
Gold is often seen as a safe investment during economic uncertainty. The sharp rise suggests rising demand as investors look for stability amid volatile market conditions.
Experts say price movements may remain unpredictable in the coming days.
