US Condemns Balochistan Attacks, Vows Continued Support to Pakistan

01 February, 2026 13:40

US Charge de’ Affaires Natalie Baker reaffirmed that the US is still Pakistan’s “steadfast partner” in efforts to maintain peace while vehemently denouncing the recent terrorist strikes in Balochistan on Sunday.

According to Baker on X, “The United States strongly condemns attacks and acts of terrorist violence against security personnel and civilians in Balochistan on January 31, claimed by the Balochistan Liberation Army, a US-designated Foreign Terrorist Organization.”

She expressed the US’s condolences to the terrorist victims, their families, and everyone else impacted. She declared, “The Pakistani people deserve to live free from fear and violence.”

“The United States remains a steadfast partner of Pakistan in its efforts to ensure peace and stability,” Baker continued. During this trying moment, we are in solidarity with Pakistan.

The US envoy’s remarks follow a series of strikes by Fitna-al-Hindustan terrorists around Balochistan on Saturday, in response to which 92 militants were killed by security forces.

To draw attention to India’s purported involvement in terrorism and instability throughout Pakistan, the administration has labeled terrorist organizations based in Balochistan as Fitna-al-Hindustan.

Saudi Arabia, Qatar, the United States, and the British High Commission all denounced the most recent acts of terrorism.

The so-called Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA), which is prohibited, has frequently attacked security troops and law enforcement organizations in Balochistan.

The BLA and its Majeed Brigade unit were also classified as foreign terrorist organizations (FTOs) by the US in August 2025.

According to data issued by the Islamabad-based Pak Institute for Peace Studies, Pakistan saw a dramatic increase in militant violence in 2025 despite record militant deaths. Terrorist attacks increased by 34% and terrorism-related fatalities increased by 21% year over year.

The BLA became a major terrorist group in Pakistan in 2024.

Fitna-al-Hindustan terrorists “attempted to disturb peace of Balochistan” on Saturday, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), by carrying out many terrorist acts in the vicinity of Quetta, Mastung, Nushki, Dalbandin, Kharan, Panjgur, Tump, Gwadar, and Pasni.

According to the military’s media affairs branch, fifteen soldiers accepted martyrdom during the operations.

According to the ISPR, terrorists targeted civilians in Gwadar and Kharan, killing eighteen more people, including children.

One of the assaults was a bombing in Quetta, which Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti later visited to assess the security situation.

Mohsin Naqvi, the interior minister, blamed India for the attacks and declared that the authorities would pursue all of the perpetrators as well as the “masters behind them.”
