Shahbaz Sharif Holds Talks with KP CM Afridi on Peace, Development

Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif met with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi today, emphasizing that seamless cooperation between the federal and provincial governments is indispensable for regional peace and national prosperity.

During the meeting, the prime minister stressed that the provincial government must intensify its efforts to maintain law and order. He urged the KP administration to fulfill its constitutional responsibilities by strengthening institutions dedicated to counter-terrorism and public welfare. “The federal and provincial governments will continue their joint efforts to completely eradicate terrorism,” he noted.

Highlighting the province’s autonomy, the Prime Minister encouraged the provincial government to take decisive steps in improving healthcare and education for the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. He reaffirmed that KP remains a vital unit of the federation and that the federal government is committed to supporting its development within the federal framework.

The Prime Minister concluded by stating that close coordination and mutual consultation are essential for stability. He reiterated his vision of inclusive growth, aiming to lead all provinces toward equal development and long-term prosperity.
