LAHORE – The holy month of Ramadan is expected to start on Thursday, February 19, 2026, or Friday, February 20, depending on the sighting of the moon.
If the month of Shaban lasts 29 days, Ramadan will begin on February 19. If Shaban completes 30 days, Ramadan will start on February 20. The moon sighting, which marks the start of Ramadan, is expected on the evening of February 18.
If the crescent moon is seen, fasting will begin the next day, February 19. If the moon is not visible, Ramadan will start on February 20. The Ruet-e-Hilal Committee will make the final announcement about the official start of Ramadan.
Sehri and Iftar Timings in Lahore
In Pakistan, daily fasting is expected to last between 13 and 13½ hours. At the start of Ramadan, fasts will be about 13 hours long, gradually increasing to around 13½ hours toward the end of the month.
According to the calendar, Sehri will end at 5:18 am and Iftar will begin at 5:54 pm on February 19 in Lahore.
