Epstein’s ‘KGB Honeytrap’ Allegedly Targeted World Leaders, Documents Suggest Russian Espionage Links

02 February, 2026 14:03

Newly released documents reveal that Jeffrey Epstein may have operated “the world’s largest honeytrap operation” on behalf of the KGB, according to intelligence sources. The late financier allegedly procured women for high-profile associates while maintaining connections with Russian intelligence, and possibly Israeli operatives, during his illicit activities.

The cache of over three million files includes 1,056 documents referencing Russian President Vladimir Putin and 9,629 mentioning Moscow. Intelligence sources claim Epstein even secured meetings with Putin following his 2008 conviction for procuring a child for prostitution. The reports suggest Epstein’s wealth and lifestyle were unusually lavish, potentially due to these covert ties, though no direct documentary evidence links Putin to Epstein’s crimes.

American security officials believe Epstein was introduced to espionage via media mogul Robert Maxwell, who reportedly acted as a Russian asset in the 1970s, with ties to Mossad and MI6. Epstein allegedly collaborated with Russian organized crime, which may have facilitated the transport of women from Russia for his network.

Several high-profile figures, including Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, Bill Gates, Donald Trump, and Bill Clinton, were allegedly placed in compromising situations on Epstein’s properties. Epstein’s communications indicate potential interactions with global leaders, including arranging meetings with Putin and discussions of intelligence sharing.

Sources also indicate Epstein may have been trained as a spy under former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak, while FBI documents suggest he was under long-term monitoring for his international connections. Despite these claims, all named figures have denied wrongdoing.

Relatives of Epstein maintain he may have been murdered to prevent exposure of these covert operations. Ghislaine Maxwell, Epstein’s associate, is serving a 20-year sentence for child sex trafficking linked to his network.
