When is the iPhone 17e expected to launch and what’s new?
Just like Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy S26 series, Apple is also getting attention again. A new report suggests that Apple may launch the iPhone 17e later this month, possibly in February.
According to a report by Macwelt, which quoted industry sources, Apple is expected to announce the iPhone 17e through a press release on February 19. This launch timeline matches Apple’s previous pattern, as the company introduced the iPhone 16e in February last year.
Another report has supported this claim and said that the iPhone 17e will have a design similar to the iPhone 16e. This means Apple may not make major changes to the phone’s overall look.
As for the design, the iPhone 17e is expected to keep the notch from the iPhone 16e instead of using the Dynamic Island, which is available on newer iPhone models.
In terms of features, the iPhone 17e is likely to support MagSafe and offer wireless charging speeds of up to 25 watts. Reports also suggest that the phone will be powered by Apple’s new A19 chip. It may also come with the second-generation Apple C1X modem and the N1 wireless network chip.
Most of the hardware is expected to stay similar to the iPhone 16e, giving users a familiar experience if they upgrade from the older model.
The report also mentioned Apple’s next tablet. It claimed that the upcoming iPad 12 may use the A18 chip instead of the A19, which was earlier expected.
