Former Indian Cricketer Slams No Handshake Rule Before T20 Match

Former Indian cricketer and commentator Sanjay Manjrekar also called the BCCI’s decision not to shake hands with Pakistani players stupid.

India has long had a policy of not shaking hands with Pakistani players in international matches, and Indian media reports suggest that the same policy is likely to be continued by Indian players in today’s T20 World Cup match in Colombo.

In this regard, India is facing criticism not only from within the country but also from abroad.

Now former Indian all-rounder Sanjay Manjrekar has also raised his voice against his board’s decision in a statement on social media.

Sanjay Manjrekar wrote on his X account that the “no handshake” movement that India has started is very stupid; it is not worthy of a country like ours.

The former Indian Test cricketer further wrote that either India plays properly according to the true spirit of the game, or it doesn’t play at all.
