15 February, 2026 19:39

Saudi Arabia has announced strict penalties for individuals who overstay their visit visas and fail to report it.

According to the Saudi Public Security, visitors who do not report their overstay after the expiration of a visit visa could face fines of up to 50,000 Saudi Riyals and imprisonment for up to six months.

The Public Security department emphasized in an X post that citizens and residents must report any visit visa holders exceeding their permitted stay. Violators of this rule may face severe legal consequences.

Authorities further warned that if a resident foreigner fails to report a visitor’s overstay, they could also face deportation from the Kingdom.

Saudi officials urged local citizens and resident foreigners to avoid providing transport, employment, accommodation, shelter, or any assistance to individuals violating residency, employment, or border security regulations.
