Meghan Markle’s Move Over Diana Tribute Upset Prince William
The tension begun in the royal family again which make the rift still remains between Prince and Princess of Wales and Duke and Duchess of Sussex, a new report has claimed that Meghan Markle’s connection in a key project on Princess Diana has left Prince William furious.
According to insider’s report, Prince of Wales is deeply upset about a proposed project being developed by Duke and Duchess of Sussex, a documentary linked to Princess Diana’s legacy. While details of the production remain unconfirmed publicly, sources claim the idea alone has reignited long-standing sensitivities between the brothers.
RadarOnline reports claimed that Prince Harry committed the idea to discovering a documentary project marking the 30th anniversary of Princess Diana’s death in 2027 as part of his and Meghan Markle’s ongoing partnership with Netflix. Sources alleged the film would reflect on Diana’s life and William’s views about this project as “deeply distasteful,” while Harry reportedly sees it as meaningful.
An insider said, “Harry is completely resolute about commemorating his mother and believes, very firmly, that telling her story is something he’s entitled to do as her son,”
They added, “From his perspective, this isn’t a project that requires sign-off from his brother, and he resents the idea that anyone should police how he remembers Diana.
“What has truly infuriated William, though, is the extent of Meghan’s involvement. He sees her presence as crossing a deeply personal line and feels that allowing her to shape or profit from Diana’s legacy amounts to a profound betrayal of his mother’s memory.”
One more source said that the Prince Harry “has long felt that the narrative around his mother has been distorted and poorly handled over the years. “He genuinely believes that, when Diana needed protection and understanding most, the institution let her down. “Because of that, he doesn’t trust the monarchy to be the guardian of her legacy. In his view, the royal establishment forfeited any moral authority to control how she is remembered, which is why he feels so strongly that her story should be told outside of palace walls.”
The reported disagreement is said to be particularly sensitive given the brothers’ shared history of honoring Diana together. In prior years, in 2017 documentary showed the collaboration tributes presented of a statue at Kensington Palace in 2021.
