Pravina Deshpande, Veteran Actor, Dies at 60
Pravina Deshpande, Bollywood veteran actress passed away on Tuesday (February 17) after a long-time battle with Cancer at her 60.
The confirmation of her death, her family posted the news on her official Instagram account saying she died on February 17.
“It is with great sadness that we inform you that Mrs Pravina Deshpande has left for her heavenly abode on 17th February 2026,”

Her Cremation was held that same day at the Hindu Crematorium in Chakala Parsiwada, Andheri East, Mumbai

Pravina got not enough fame, but her face was familiar for lots of people and her fans even in small roles, she brought a quiet depth that stayed with audiences.
Deshpande assembled a various career crossways Hindi and Marathi films, television, theatre and web series. She was known for her supporting roles in films such as “Ready” opposite Salman Khan, “Ek Villain” and “Parmanu: The Story of Pokhran”.
She also remembered through her Television shows like Ghar Ek Mandir, Kumkum, Karam Apnaa Apnaa, and Kulfi Kumar Bajewala.
Her nature according to her colleagues that she was so well-organized, plentiful, and always ready to guide fresh actors, Tributes poured in within hours of the announcement.
Her last work that, she was appeared in Taskaree sharing screen with Emraan Hashmi.
The Cine & TV Artistes’ Association also expressed condolences, calling her a longtime pillar of the acting community.
