Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry announces office timings for Ramadan
Islamabad, February 18, 2026 – With the start of Ramadan 2026 tomorrow, Thursday, February 19, federal and provincial authorities have announced revised working hours for courts, government offices, and schools across Pakistan.
Court Timings in Islamabad
The Islamabad High Court and subordinate courts will operate under adjusted hours approved by the Chief Justice.
Monday to Thursday: Cases will be heard from 9:30 am to 11:30 am. A short break will follow from 11:30 am to 12:00 pm, and division bench cases will run from 12:00 pm to 1:30 pm.
Friday: Cases will only be heard from 9:30 am to 11:30 am.
Subordinate courts will operate from 9:00 am to 2:30 pm Monday to Thursday, and from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm on Friday.
Office Timings
Government offices in Islamabad and federal institutions will observe the following hours:
Monday to Thursday: 9:00 am to 2:30 pm
Friday: 9:00 am to 12:00 pm
The Federal Constitutional Court offices will remain open 9:00 am to 2:00 pm Monday to Thursday, and 9:00 am to 12:30 pm on Friday and Saturday.
In Sindh, offices will operate from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm Monday to Thursday, and 10:00 am to 1:00 pm on Friday.
School Timings in Punjab
Schools in Punjab will follow revised Ramadan hours starting 1st Ramadan:
Classes will begin at 8:30 am and end at 1:00 pm.
Teachers will observe a weekly holiday on Saturdays during the month of Ramadan.
Authorities have urged citizens, students, and staff to follow the revised timings and plan their schedules accordingly.
