All Theatres in Punjab to Remain Closed During Ramadan 2026

Lahore, February 18, 2026 – All theatres across Punjab will remain closed for the entire month of Ramadan 2026, authorities confirmed on Tuesday.

The Punjab Arts Council issued an official notification directing theatre owners, license holders, and producers to fully comply with the closure during the holy month.

Officials warned that strict action would be taken against any theatres found operating in violation of the order. The district administration will initiate disciplinary proceedings against violators to ensure compliance.

The decision aims to maintain the sanctity of Ramadan, a month observed across Pakistan with religious devotion, fasting, and social restraint. Theatre managements have been instructed to cooperate fully to avoid penalties or enforcement measures.
