Ramadan 2026: New timings hours for courts, offices, and schools

As the holy month of Ramadan begins on Thursday, February 19, 2026, the federal and provincial governments have announced new working hours for courts, offices, and schools across Pakistan.

Islamabad High Court Timings

After approval from the Chief Justice, the Islamabad High Court issued an official notification about new court and office timings during Ramadan.

From Monday to Thursday, court cases will be heard from 9:30 am to 11:30 am. There will be a break from 11:30 am to 12:00 pm. After the break, division bench cases will be heard from 12:00 pm to 1:30 pm. On Fridays, cases will only be heard from 9:30 am to 11:30 am.

Office timings from Monday to Thursday will be 9:00 am to 2:30 pm. On Friday, offices will remain open from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm.

In subordinate courts, cases will be heard from 9:00 am to 2:30 pm from Monday to Thursday, and from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm on Friday.

Federal Constitutional Court Timings

The Federal Constitutional Court of Pakistan has also announced its Ramadan schedule. Offices will remain open from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm from Monday to Thursday. On Friday and Saturday, office hours will be from 9:00 am to 12:30 pm.

Sindh Government Office Timings

In Sindh, government offices will open from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm during Ramadan. On Fridays, offices will work from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm.

Punjab School Timings

The School Education Department Punjab has changed school timings for Ramadan. Schools will start at 8:30 am and close at 1:00 pm.

Teachers will also have holidays on Saturdays during Ramadan. These new timings will apply from the first day of Ramadan.
