Muhamet Malo 2026 Wrestling: Schedule and Live Streaming Details
U23 World Championships gold medallist Sujeet Kalkal will spearhead the Indian contingent at the Muhamet Malo 2026 wrestling tournament, which begins in Tirana, Albania, on Wednesday.
The tournament, the second leg of the 2026 UWW Ranking Series, will be available to watch via live streaming in India on UWW+. No live telecast will be available on Indian TV channels.
A 48-member Indian wrestling team is set to compete, with 16 athletes each in men’s freestyle, women’s, and Greco-Roman categories. In the absence of Olympic medallist Aman Sehrawat, Sujeet Kalkal will lead the Indian effort in the men’s freestyle division.
The reigning U23 Asian and World Champion, Sujeet Kalkal, recently won gold in the 65kg category at the Zagreb Open — the first leg of the UWW Ranking Series 2026 — and also secured gold at the Polyák Imre & Varga János Memorial last year. He will look to build momentum ahead of the Asian Games later this year.
In the women’s category, U23 World Championships bronze medallist Neha Sharma will lead the team, with two-time World Wrestling Championships bronze medallist Antim Panghal opting out of the tournament. Sharma, 23, has previously won silver at 55kg and bronze at 57kg in the 2023 and 2024 U23 World Championships in Tirana. Other women’s freestyle medalists, Muskan and Anjli, who won bronze at the Zagreb Open in 50kg and 62kg respectively, will also compete.
In Greco-Roman, India’s Chetan (63kg), who earned a silver medal at the Zagreb Open after defeating former world champion Meysam Dalkhani, is a key contender.
