King Charles III Presents Queen Elizabeth Education Awards

The event, Queen Elizabeth education award ceremony, was joined by four senior royals, which is marked the biggest gathering at St James’s Palace on Tuesday.

The ceremony saw King Charles joined by Queen Camilla, Princess Anne, and the Duke and Duchess of Gloucester, while Prince Edward withdrew at the last moment due to illness, highlighting the royal family’s current communal duties.

As per the Buckingham palace social media update, 19 universities and colleges were honored at St James’ Palace, as the king recognized the “outstanding work taking place” across the UK. And the official Instagram handle of the royal family posted photos from the engagement, featuring King Charles, Queen Camilla and other senior royals.

It was also shared that Princess Royal attended the awards ceremony “in her capacity as Chancellor of The University of Edinburgh, which received an award for the research and education provided by its Centre for Fire Safety Engineering.”

At the reception after the ceremony, Camilla – who has long campaigned against domestic violence and sexual abuse – met with members of the unit and shared a brief conversation with Professor Fiona Vera-Gray, co-director of the Child and Woman Abuse Studies Unit (CWASU), and senior research fellow Jo Lovett.
