Two Police Officers Among Injured in Peshawar Grenade Attacks

Two separate grenade attacks targeting a police station and a checkpoint in Peshawar have left eight people injured, including two police officers. According to police officials, the first incident occurred at the Badhaber Police Station, resulting in injuries to one officer.

Shortly thereafter, a second attack targeted the Matni Police Station’s Sarkhawara Police Post. Seven individuals, including one police officer, were injured in the explosion at the checkpoint.

Local law enforcement has confirmed that investigations are underway following these targeted strikes on security personnel.

On the other habnd, according to the Central Police Office (CPO), the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police successfully foiled multiple terrorist attacks across the province. In Peshawar, coordinated grenade attacks on the Badaber Police Station and the Matni outpost were thwarted, while a separate assault on the Khyber Takiya police outpost was also repelled.

Similar operations took place in Bannu, where police effectively countered attacks on the Kangar Pul and Kashopal outposts, forcing the terrorists to retreat. The Inspector General (IG) confirmed that the attackers in Peshawar were repelled due to timely and decisive police action.
