Tehran: The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) announced the launch of the 13th wave of attacks as part of Operation “True Promise 4,” using one-way attack drones to target what it described as enemy military positions.

In an official statement, the IRGC said the operation struck the United States Marine Corps base at Camp Arifjan, calling it part of Iran’s response to ongoing US-Israeli aggression and the targeting of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, martyr Sayyed Ali Khamenei.

Strikes Reported in Bahrain and Hormuz

The IRGC stated that six one-way attack drones targeted facilities linked to the US naval fleet in Bahrain, claiming the sites were destroyed.

It also reported that the fuel tanker Athens Nova remains ablaze in the Strait of Hormuz after being struck by two drones. The strait remains a critical global energy transit route.

21st Hermes Drone Downed in Bushehr

Separately, the IRGC’s naval air defenses in Bushehr reportedly shot down the 21st Hermes-type drone over the southern city.

On Sunday, the Iranian Army said it intercepted 10 advanced drones, most of them Hermes-type, through its integrated air defense network across multiple regions. According to official figures, the total number of downed drones since the start of hostilities has reached 22.

Iranian air defenses also claimed to have shot down US-operated MQ-9 Reaper drones and an IAI Eitan drone.

Iranian officials describe the ongoing operations as defensive measures aimed at protecting national sovereignty, while regional tensions continue to escalate.
