During the visit, he laid a floral wreath at the Martyrs’ Memorial, paying homage to the fallen soldiers. He emphasized, “Martyrs’ sacrifices are the foundation of Pakistan’s security and stability.”
The Army Chief received detailed briefings on ongoing intelligence-based operations, including Operation “Ghazab Lil Haq,” as well as the current security situation along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border. He commended the high morale and dedication of troops deployed at forward posts, stating that their courage ensures operational readiness.
Highlighting regional security threats, he said, “Fitan-e-Khawarij and Fitan-e-Hindustan are using Afghan soil against Pakistan, which is unacceptable.” He further emphasized, “Without ending support for terrorism by the Afghan Taliban, peace in the region is not possible.”
Field Marshal Asim Munir assured that all necessary measures would be taken to neutralize cross-border threats. On his arrival, the Corps Commander Peshawar welcomed him and briefed him on the operational preparedness of formations along the border, which the Army Chief praised.
The visit reflects Pakistan’s commitment to border security, operational readiness, and ensuring that national stability is protected against any external threats.
