IRGC Warns of Long War as Iran Promises New Weapons in Ongoing Conflict
March 6, 2026 – Iran’s military leadership has warned that the current conflict could become a long and intense war. A senior spokesman of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps said the country is ready for a prolonged fight and plans to introduce new weapons that have not yet been used in battle.
Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps spokesman Ali Mohammad Naeini, who holds the rank of brigadier general, said Iran has already started responding to attacks but has only used a small part of its real military strength.
Iran Says It Is Ready for a Long Conflict
Speaking about the ongoing tensions, Naeini said Iran is fully prepared for what he called a “prolonged war.” He said the country intends to continue its military operations until it punishes what he described as the aggressor.
The spokesman explained that the attacks launched so far under Operation True Promise 4 represent only a limited portion of Iran’s actual capabilities.
According to him, Iran has many more military options available if the conflict continues.
New Weapons and Military Technologies Expected
The IRGC spokesman also announced that Iran will soon introduce new strategic weapons. He said these technologies have not yet been widely used on the battlefield.
Naeini warned that future operations could involve stronger attacks and new military tactics.
He stated that Iran’s upcoming operational waves will likely include weapons that the opposing side has not yet faced in the conflict.
Khayber Missile Strike Demonstrates Precision
The announcement came shortly after reports of missile launches targeting Tel Aviv. Iranian sources said the attack involved the Khayber missile, which they claim showed a high level of precision.
Officials said the strike was part of Iran’s ongoing military response in the current conflict.
Iranian military leaders say more operations may follow if tensions continue to rise in the region.
Growing Concerns Over Regional Escalation
The latest statements from Iranian military officials highlight growing fears that the conflict could expand further. Analysts say continued missile strikes and military warnings from both sides could increase instability across the Middle East.
Iran maintains that its actions are part of its right to defend the country and respond to attacks on its territory.
