Donald Trump Increases Pressure on Media Over Iran War Coverage
US President Donald Trump has begun to increase pressure on the media after the war with Iran failed to gain public support.
According to the American broadcaster CNN, President Trump has increased pressure on the news media due to the lack of public support for a war with Iran.
The American broadcaster says that the Trump administration registers one or more complaints every day.
According to CNN, Trump himself does not shy away from calling the media “criminal” and “unpatriotic,” while Federal Communications Commission Chairman Brendan Kerr, whom Trump has chosen, has repeatedly threatened to revoke broadcasters’ broadcast licenses.
CNN senior political commentator David Axelrod wrote that the Trump administration seems to have decided that if war news doesn’t get better, it would be better to attack those reporting the war.
CNN wrote that Trump simply avoids answering tough questions about the war by saying “fake news.”
