Sindh Local Government Minister Nasir Hussain Shah has issued a high alert for the entire Sindh province, including Karachi, following severe stormy rains.
The Minister has cancelled Eid leaves for all departmental staff, emphasizing that the Sindh government is working actively to protect lives and property. He urged citizens to remain indoors and avoid electrical installations. “Heavy machinery has been deployed to areas where rainwater has accumulated,” he added.
All officers and staff have been directed to reach major highways immediately to begin water drainage operations, with special priority given to drainage around markets in cities and towns to facilitate the public.
