White House Says All Options on Iran Remain on the Table

White House Communications Director Steven Cheung said all options remain available regarding Iran, while emphasizing that President Donald Trump continues to prefer a diplomatic resolution to tensions with Tehran. Cheung said the president has consistently supported diplomacy as the preferred path forward.

Cheung warned that if Iran continues attacks against U.S. allies, the president retains a range of options to respond. He also said U.S. sanctions have severely weakened Iran’s economy and are intended to increase pressure on Tehran.

The White House official urged Iran to return to negotiations, reiterating Washington’s position that diplomacy remains the preferred means of resolving the dispute, while maintaining that other options remain available if circumstances change.
