TEHRAN, March 27, 2026: Loud explosions were reported near the Pakistan Embassy in Tehran on Friday evening. The blasts were heard around 8:00 pm and caused panic in nearby areas.
According to reports, the explosions took place close to the embassy and the residence of Pakistan’s Ambassador, Mudassir Tipu. Despite the intensity of the blasts, all diplomatic staff remained safe.
Sources said a nearby Iranian military facility known as “Artesh” may have been the main target. The area where the ambassador lives is also considered sensitive and is controlled by Iran’s Revolutionary Guards.
Officials confirmed that there was no damage to the Pakistan Embassy or the ambassador’s residence. Around 20 staff members are currently working in Tehran, and all have been reported safe.
A senior diplomat said the explosions were very loud and created fear, but the situation inside the embassy remained under control. Staff members stayed calm during the incident.
Diplomatic sources added that the embassy is continuing its normal operations. Officials are closely monitoring the situation and staying in contact with local authorities as tensions remain high in the region.
