Canada announces Express Entry visa applications for Pakistanis and other nationals

Canada is inviting skilled professionals from Pakistan and other countries to apply for permanent residence through special rounds of the Express Entry immigration system.

Currently, Canada is looking for medical doctors, researchers, senior managers with Canadian work experience, French-speaking workers, healthcare and social services staff, tradespersons, educators, STEM professionals, and those in transport occupations.

These category-based rounds select candidates based on specific criteria, such as language skills, work experience in selected jobs, and education. The government announces the eligible categories in advance so candidates can prepare their applications.

To apply, candidates must meet the general Express Entry requirements and satisfy the specific criteria for the chosen category. Once applications open, candidates are ranked, and the top-ranking individuals are invited to apply for permanent residence.

Applicants must submit their Express Entry applications within 60 days of the round opening.

The fee for Canadian permanent residency is 575 Canadian dollars.
