Israeli Opposition Leader Warns Army Near Collapse

Yair Lapid, a leader of the Israeli opposition, claims that in the 13 years he has worked in the security institutions of the state, he has never seen a warning as dire as Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir’s latest one regarding the disintegrating military of the occupation.

A day after Zamir was quoted by Israel’s Channel 13 as stating to a high-level meeting that the Israeli army is facing ten red lights and is about to collapse, Lapid made the comments in an X post on Friday.

Additionally, he pointed out that the army is severely short-staffed and that regular troops are collapsing while reserve forces are fully exhausted.

Lapid continued, “Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s cabinet has sent the military to a multi-front conflict without a clear strategy and sufficient resources.”

He noted that since the warning came from the chief of staff selected by the cabinet, Netanyahu could no longer claim ignorance of the catastrophic situation.

Zamir has cautioned that the current arrangements would not allow reserve forces in particular to maintain their current level of service.

Israel and the United States have been engaging in unlawful aggression against Iran for the past month. Iran has retaliated against areas in the seized territories as a result of the attack, severely damaging the usurping administration.

Months after a 12-day assault on Iran and a murderous war on the Gaza Strip, Israel initiated the illegal attack.

Additionally, Israel is engaged in combat with the Hezbollah resistance movement in Lebanon, which has stepped up its attacks on locations within the seized territory.
