Iran Warns US and Israel: “The Victorious State Sets the Terms for Ending the War”

Iran’s Armed Forces have reaffirmed their strategic upper hand in the ongoing conflict, warning the United States and “Israel” that battlefield outcomes will dictate the terms for ending the war.

Brigadier General Abolfazl Shekarchi, spokesperson for Iran’s General Staff, stated that Iran has demonstrated both military strength and popular resilience. He emphasized, “The victorious state is the one that sets the terms for ending the war.”

Iranian officials highlighted that adversaries would eventually be forced to accept these conditions, urging Washington and “Israel” to abandon unrealistic expectations and recognize the realities on the ground.

A senior Iranian official also told Reuters that Tehran has not finalized its response to the US proposal, citing ongoing attacks on its industrial and nuclear infrastructure. Iran rejected the US plan as one-sided, insisting that negotiations cannot proceed amid continuous bombardment. Tehran stressed that any resolution must include a halt to aggression, binding guarantees against future attacks, and recognition of Iran’s sovereignty, including over the strategically critical Strait of Hormuz.

Meanwhile, US Special Envoy Steve Witkoff indicated that Iran may engage in talks with Washington this week. President Donald Trump claimed that Tehran is prepared to make a deal, noting that “ships are passing, that’s a very, very good sign.” Despite ongoing tensions, Iranian officials assert that the country has reshaped the regional strategic landscape, particularly in the Strait of Hormuz, maintaining control over this vital global energy corridor.
