PSO Cargo Ship MT Khairpur Arrives in Karachi

A major fuel shipment has reached Karachi as a cargo vessel operated under Pakistan State Oil (PSO) successfully docked at the city’s port, according to reports.

Officials confirmed that the ship, named “MT Khairpur”, arrived and anchored at the FOTCO terminal in Karachi after transporting a large volume of petrol. The vessel, operated by the Pakistan National Shipping Corporation (PNSC), is carrying approximately 55,000 metric tons of fuel.

Authorities indicated that this delivery is expected to significantly improve fuel availability across Pakistan. With increasing demand pressures, the arrival of such a large shipment is seen as a crucial step toward maintaining balance in the country’s petroleum supply chain.

Energy sector sources emphasized that the incoming stock will help ease concerns regarding potential shortages. By strengthening reserves and supporting distribution networks, the shipment is likely to ensure smoother fuel availability in the coming weeks.
