Yo Yo Honey Singh Mumbai Concert Controversy: Fan Gate-Climbing Incident Sparks Debate Over Event Mismanagement

31 March, 2026 12:03

Popular rapper Yo Yo Honey Singh faced unexpected controversy during his “My Story – India Chapter” tour stop in Mumbai on March 28, as reports of crowd mismanagement and a viral security incident drew widespread attention.

The concert, held at MMRDA Grounds in Bandra, delivered high-energy performances inside the venue. However, outside the gates, a chaotic situation unfolded when a female fan attempted to climb over a locked entry gate.

A widely circulated video shows the woman trying to force her way into the venue by scaling the barrier. Security personnel quickly intervened, pulling her down, which led to a heated confrontation. The fan was seen shouting angrily at the guards, while bystanders recorded the incident, further amplifying it across social media platforms.

The episode has triggered mixed reactions online. While some criticized the fan’s actions, others pointed to frustration caused by alleged mismanagement at the venue. Several attendees reported long queues, confusion at entry points, and a lack of clear instructions from event staff.

More concerns emerged regarding ticket access. Some concertgoers claimed that individuals without proper premium wristbands were allowed into restricted sections, raising questions about crowd control and ticket verification processes.

Despite the issues outside, the show continued with full intensity inside. For the “Chapter 3” segment of his performance, Yo Yo Honey Singh made a grand entrance in a luxurious Rolls-Royce Ghost Series II, reportedly worth around INR 9 crore. The dramatic entry accompanied his performance of hit tracks, alongside fan favorites such as Dope Shope, Blue Eyes, Brown Rang, and Desi Kalakaar.

The Mumbai concert was part of Honey Singh’s ongoing multi-city tour across India, with upcoming performances scheduled in cities including Pune, Kota, Indore, Lucknow, Kolkata, and Bengaluru. As of now, event organizers have not issued an official statement addressing the reported security concerns or ticketing issues.
