Iran Slams US Over “Nazi and Fascist Thinking” Remarks
Attempts by some American officials to defend the United States’ continuous campaign of aggression against Iran, according to the Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson, are reminiscent of Adolf Hitler’s ideology as well as Nazi and fascist ideas prior to and during World campaign II.
After US Senator Lindsey Graham, the GOP’s godfather, asserted that America’s 2026 war operations against the Islamic Republic might put an end to a “2,000-year-long conflict,” Esmaeil Baghaei made the comments in a post on his X account on Tuesday night.
In similar contentious remarks, American political strategist and Republican radical theorist Steve Bannon recently suggested that the White House overturn the Achaemenid monarchy, just as Alexander the Great did against Iran some 2,300 years ago.
“Such distorted historical references are revealingly similar to Nazi and Fascist thinking; Adolf Hitler justified invading other countries by invoking ‘Lebensraum’ and praising Roman empire. Mussolini used the glory of the Roman empire to excuse his aggressions in North Africa,” Baghaei stated.
Abbas Araghchi, Iran’s foreign minister, claimed on Tuesday that Israel was “openly and unashamedly bombing pharmaceutical companies.”
In a statement released late in the day, the Israeli military claimed to have attacked the Tofigh Daru factory because it was covertly supplying Iran’s Organization of Defensive Innovation and Research with a possibly fatal drug.
The Food and Drug Administration president and deputy minister of health, Dr. Mahdi Pirsalehi, called the walkout “an attempt to disrupt the country’s health care system.”
The company is “one of the most important producers of raw materials for hospital medications and drugs used in operating rooms,” according to Pirsalehi. It also produces raw materials for various cancer therapies.
The biggest pension fund in Iran owns Tofigh Daru. “This action has targeted people’s health and lives, and the company in question belongs to the nation’s retirees,” Pirsalehi stated.
Foreign pharmaceutical businesses have been unable to operate in Iran for years due to US sanctions, which have forced the majority of medical manufacture to be done domestically.
Commanders are required by international humanitarian law to differentiate between military and civilian targets..
