Karachi Breaks 41-Year Rain Record in April

New rainfall records were set in several cities of Sindh within 24 hours in April.

Karachi’s 41-year-old April rainfall record has been broken, with 38.6 mm of rainfall recorded at Karachi Airport, according to the Meteorological Department. In April 1985, Karachi Airport received 37 mm of rainfall.

Mohenjodaro received 60 mm of rain, breaking a 31-year record. Mohenjodaro had received 22 mm of rain in 1995.

Similarly, Larkana’s 1989 record of 26 degrees was broken at 22.5 degrees Celsius, while Badin’s 1967 record of 26.1 degrees was broken at 26 degrees Celsius.
