Iranian Delegation Meets PM Shehbaz Sharif in Islamabad

Islamabad: An Iranian delegation led by Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf, Speaker of Iran’s Consultative Assembly, met Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif in Islamabad, according to a statement issued by the Prime Minister’s Office.

The delegation also included Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Aragchi. During the meeting, both sides discussed matters of mutual interest, with a particular focus on ongoing regional developments and efforts aimed at promoting peace and stability.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif appreciated the participation of the Iranian delegation in the Islamabad talks, emphasizing the importance of dialogue and cooperation in addressing regional challenges.

Reaffirming Pakistan’s commitment, the prime minister stated that the country will continue to play its role in promoting peace and stability in the region.

The meeting was also attended by Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, and Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, the statement added.
