Field Marshal Asim Munir Concludes Iran Visit, Reaffirms Commitment to Regional Peace and Stability
Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, NI (M), HJ, along with Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi and a senior delegation, has concluded a three-day official visit to the Islamic Republic of Iran.
During the visit, Field Marshal Munir held high-level meetings with Iranian leadership, including President Masoud Pezeshkian, Speaker of the National Assembly Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, and Commander of Khatam-ul-Anbiya Headquarters Major General Ali Abdollahi.
The discussions centered on strengthening regional peace and stability, with a strong focus on the evolving security situation, ongoing diplomatic efforts, and joint cooperation to promote long-term peace in the region. The Field Marshal emphasized the importance of “dialogue, de-escalation, and peaceful resolution of outstanding issues through sustained diplomatic engagements.”




He also expressed gratitude for the hospitality extended by the Iranian leadership and people, and conveyed warm greetings from the President, Prime Minister, and people of Pakistan to Iran’s leadership.
The visit highlighted Pakistan’s commitment to promoting diplomatic solutions in the Middle East and reinforcing its historic ties with Iran. Officials stressed that sustained engagement and cooperation remain essential for ensuring regional stability and economic prosperity.
