Court rejects appeal on reinstatement of State Bank employees

A major decision has been given by Justice Abid Hussain of the Lahore High Court regarding government employees. The court rejected an appeal seeking the reinstatement of dismissed employees of the State Bank.

According to details, 10 petitions filed by the State Bank and SBP Bank Services were also dismissed. The court issued an 8-page written judgment, which has now been declared a judicial precedent.

In a related matter, the Labor Court upheld its earlier decision regarding the permanent status and reinstatement of employees working under NIRC. The ruling stated that employees who have worked for more than 9 months are eligible to be made permanent.

The court also declared that terminating employees through verbal orders is illegal. It ordered the immediate reinstatement of dismissed employees with all benefits and rights restored.
