A clip from Kankal Horror Restaurant in Varanasi has blown up online. It shows a worker in a ghost outfit making a young boy scream and cry. This has started fights about if the place is okay for kids. The event happened in the Chetganj area at the scary-themed spot. People are mad it uses big scares on little children.
The video on the restaurant’s Instagram shows a worker in a ghost costume walking up to eaters to scare them. Some laugh, but one part has got lots of heat. A young boy gets upset as the worker gets close. He ends up crying hard and saying over and over, “Please Papa nahi.” The worker keeps scaring the boy, and the parents do nothing to stop it.
The clip now has 60 million views, but mostly bad ones. People hate the idea and hit the place for caring more about scares than being kind. Some ask if it’s right to use fear to make money, mostly on kids who do not get it.

One user said, “It’s not funny. That child is genuinely scared. Seeing him crying, begging “nahi papa… nahi papa” broke my heart.”
Another wrote, “Not funny at all; kids are traumatized.”
One more said, “It’s really bad. If the kid is getting so scared, then what is the need for making him frightened even more? Many people can also die because of fear. And why do parents have to take such a place where the child is in this condition?”
About Kankal Horror Restaurant
The Kankal Horror Restaurant in Varanasi is a hot scary eating place in the Chetganj area. It is known as the city’s first scary restaurant. It gives a full “haunted” feel where eaters get food from workers dressed as ghosts and skeletons in dark, spooky lights. The place uses low lights, fake fog, and walls with big fake bones to make it scary.
Workers in ghost outfits and bone masks talk to guests and bring food. This often leads to sudden scares that go big on social media. It says it is for families, but now faces heat after videos show young kids very scared by the tricks.
