Transport fares reduced after drop in diesel price

ISLAMABAD: Travelers are catching a break! With diesel prices dropping by 32 rupees a liter, bus companies have cut fares by 5% on routes between cities and provinces. These lower prices started today.

Government folks put out a fresh list of fares, and trips from Lahore got a nice shave.

Check out new fares list:

  • Lahore-Karachi: Now Rs 5,120 instead of 5,390
  • Lahore-Hyderabad: Rs 4,770, down from 5,020
  • Lahore-Moro: Rs 4,320 from 4,550
  • Lahore-Sukkur: Rs 3,450, was 3,630
  • Lahore to Sadiqabad/Rahim Yar Khan/Khanpur: Rs 2,250 off 2,370
  • Lahore-Ahmedpur Sharqia: Rs 2,050 from 2,160
  • Lahore-Lodhran/Bahawalpur/Multan: Rs 1,870, previously 1,970
  • Lahore-Muzaffargarh: Rs 2,050 down from 2,160
  • Lahore-Leh: Rs 2,230 from 2,350
  • Lahore-Dera Ismail Khan: Rs 3,120 instead of 3,285
  • Lahore-Bannu: Rs 2,380 off 2,510
  • Lahore-Bakar: Rs 2,580 from 2,720
  • Lahore-Kot Addu: Rs 2,220, was 2,340

Officials told bus operators to use these rates right now, or face tough penalties for ripping people off. It’s all about helping regular folks save some cash on the go.
