Tarar Calls last year’s Pahalgam incident a False Flag, Labels India “Terrorism Promoter”

Federal Information Minister Atta Tarar has termed India a “terrorism promoter,” stating that the Pulwama incident was a false flag operation designed to target Pakistan.

Speaking at a press conference, he said India continues to blame Pakistan for its internal failures without presenting any credible evidence even after a long period.

He added that Pakistan had offered cooperation and even proposed investigations after the Pulwama incident, but no transparent response was provided by India.

Tarar said the attack took place under strict security surveillance, which raised serious questions and caused embarrassment for India.

He further claimed that the FIR of the Pulwama incident was registered within minutes, suggesting it was already pre-planned.

The minister accused India of using terrorism-related incidents for political purposes while presenting them externally in a misleading manner.

He also said that India’s actions are a threat to regional peace, development, and economic stability.

Tarar warned that Pakistan reserves the right to respond to any violation of the Indus Waters Treaty and other agreements.

He criticized Indian media for spreading unverified narratives and said that international observers, civil society, and think tanks have also raised questions about the incident.

He reaffirmed that Pakistan remains committed to counter-terrorism efforts and protecting its sovereignty, and warned that any aggression will be met with a strong response.
