Milk prices per litre increase due to fuel cost hike

As petroleum products became more expensive, the price of milk per litre was quietly increased. The milk price has been increased by Rs. 10 per litre in Hyderabad. Dairy farmers will supply it to wholesalers at Rs. 210 per litre.

According to a notification issued by the Deputy Commissioner of Hyderabad, the wholesaler will sell to the shopkeeper for Rs 215, while the shopkeeper will be obliged to sell for Rs 230 per litre.

The government has announced the prices of petroleum products for the coming week some time ago. The notification issued in this regard, the prices of petrol and diesel have been increased by Rs 26.77 per litre.

Due to the increase in oil and gas prices globally due to the US-Israel-Iran war, there has been a storm of inflation in Pakistan as well, where the prices of various commodities have increased due to the increase in petrol, diesel and LPG prices.

The price of milk in Karachi is currently Rs 240 per litre, up from Rs 220 before the war. The price hike was announced due to the sharp increase in petrol and diesel prices.
