Islamabad—In a significant development, the Iranian foreign minister met with Pakistan’s chief of army staff, Field Marshal Asim Munir, at the Iranian Embassy. The high-level discussions focused on enhancing regional security and exploring avenues for greater bilateral cooperation between Iran and Pakistan.
Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi and National Security Advisor General Asim Malik were also present during the talks, underscoring the importance of collaboration between the two neighboring nations.
The meeting highlighted the deepening of security consultations between the two countries, with the Iranian delegation, led by the Foreign Minister, also including Deputy Foreign Minister Gharibabadi and Ambassador Reza Amiri Moqadam. Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Esmail Baghai was also part of the delegation, adding depth to the diplomatic discussions.
Both sides emphasized the need to foster peace and stability in the region, agreeing on the importance of strengthening the existing ties between Pakistan and Iran.
