Aamir Khan Gets Emotional at ‘Ek Din ki Mehfil’ Event in Mumbai

Bollywood actor Aamir Khan became emotional during a promotional event for his upcoming film Ek Din, drawing widespread attention after a video from the event went viral on social media.

The event, titled Ek Din ki Mehfil, was held in Mumbai ahead of the film’s release on May 1. It included live performances and promotional activities celebrating the film’s theme.

During the event, Aamir Khan was seen alongside his son Junaid Khan and co-star Sai Pallavi. A clip later circulating online captured his emotional moment, which quickly gained traction among fans.

Speaking at the event, Aamir praised Sai Pallavi, stating, “She is the best actress we have in our country today.” In a lighthearted comment about his son, he added, “Junaid ne bhi acha khasa kaam kiya hai.”

The film marks an important milestone for Junaid Khan, who is at the early stage of his acting career, while Sai Pallavi makes her Hindi film debut with this project.

Aamir Khan also discussed the film’s marketing strategy, explaining that advance bookings were opened 39 days before release to build audience interest gradually. He said, “The fact is that Ek Din is a very small film… so I thought this film would need a little more time to get traction.”

Directed by Sunil Pandey, the film explores emotional storytelling focused on relationships and human connections, supported by music and visuals that enhance its soft narrative style.

The film, produced by Aamir Khan, Mansoor Khan, and Aparna Purohit, is scheduled for a theatrical release on May 1, 2026.
