Cement rates drop in Pakistan - check latest prices
During the past week, a decline was recorded in the retail price of cement across the country.
According to data from the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics, the average retail price of a cement bag in northern cities stood at Rs. 1,535 on April 23. This is a decrease of 0.84% compared to the previous week, when the price was Rs. 1,548.
In southern cities, the average price of a cement bag was Rs. 1,542, showing a slight decrease of 0.13% from the previous week’s price of Rs. 1,544.
City-wise cement prices
In different cities, cement prices varied last week. In Islamabad, the average price was Rs. 1,541, while in Rawalpindi it was Rs. 1,522. In Gujranwala and Sialkot, the price stood at Rs. 1,550 each. Lahore recorded Rs. 1,582, Faisalabad Rs. 1,510, and Sargodha Rs. 1,542.
In Multan, the price was Rs. 1,536, Bahawalpur Rs. 1,583, Peshawar Rs. 1,516, and Bannu Rs. 1,450.
In southern regions, Karachi recorded Rs. 1,461 per bag, Hyderabad Rs. 1,520, Sukkur Rs. 1,600, Larkana Rs. 1,513, Quetta Rs. 1,490, and Khuzdar also recorded similar market rates.
Officials said the overall trend shows a slight decline in cement prices across the country during the week.
