Marka-e-Haq Anniversary: Asim Munir Praises Armed Forces, Highlights Unity and Sacrifice

Rawalpindi: Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, a Chief of Defence Forces, said the day stood as a proud milestone for the nation to marked the first anniversary of the Marka-e-Haq, also called the Battle of Truth.

During his address at GHQ, Field Marshal said that Pakistan had been achieved victory, by the grace of Allah, during the conflict last year, sending a strong response to what he called Indian aggression.

Quoting the Quran, he said: “Truth has arrived and falsehood has perished, and indeed falsehood is bound to perish.”

He added that repeatedly, Pakistan’s opponents faced defeat. He said, had attempted for regional governance, but failed to distinguish its own limitations.

Recognizing the sacrifices of soldiers who gave everything for their country, he said the nation will forever honor their sacrifices. He defined these losses as a revered conviction and said every success of the country was a blessing from Allah.

Field Marshal Munir also praised Pakistan’s youth for standing up against enemy propaganda, calling their response “exceptional.” He said that during the Marka-e-Haq, every Pakistani had stood united in defense of the homeland, forming a “wall of steel” behind the armed forces.

Pakistan Air Force praised
He mentioned the role of Pakistan Air Force, saying, it elevated the bar for aerial operations. The enemy was resisted by troops placed along the Line of Control and eastern border to “raise white flags.” During the battle, Pakistan’s aerial and missile strikes effectively 26 enemy positions were successfully destroyed.

He underlined that Pakistan’s military remains committed to peace, not conflict, However, he warned that future battles would occur across diverse domains. He added that Pakistan’s armed forces are being prepared not only with modern weapons but also with new strategies and advanced thinking, describing the country as an “unconquerable power.”

The Field Marshal also called attention to Pakistan’s strategic defense agreement with Saudi Arabia, calling it a major diplomatic achievement.

Global role and diplomacy

He said Pakistan is taking an active and balanced role in world affairs diplomacy, remarking that countries like the United States and Iran trust Pakistan’s leadership. He also express thanks former U.S. President Donald Trump for distinguishing Pakistan’s intervention exertions.

He pointed out that terrorism against Pakistan continues, especially from India and Afghanistan, and urged Afghan authorities to prevent attacks originating from their territory. He also highlighted Pakistan’s role in helping achieve ceasefires in Lebanon.

Concluding his speech, Field Marshal Munir urged all Pakistanis to contribute actively to the country’s development, just as they had united during the Battle of Truth. He expressed confidence that Pakistan’s future was “bright and prosperous.”
